O hushed October morning mild,
Thy leaves have ripened to the fall;
Tomorrow's wind, if it be wild,
Should waste them all.
The crows above the forest call;
Tomorrow they may form and go.
O hushed October morning mild,
Begin the hours of this day slow.
Make the day seem to us less brief.
Hearts not averse to being beguiled,
Beguile us in the way you know.
Release one leaf at break of day;
At noon release another leaf;
One from our trees, one far away.
Retard the sun with gentle mist;
Enchant the land with amethyst.
Slow, slow!
For the grapes' sake, if the were all,
Whose leaves already are burnt with frost,
Whose clustered fruit must else be lost--
For the grapes' sake along the all.

I think Hallowe'en is going through another one of those phase changes. It's becoming more adult orientated, like it was in the early 1900's. Parties are on the rise, while Trick-or-Treating seems to be on the wane.spinergy2002 wrote:I dont think Halloween will ever really fade away, but I think there are periods where people move away from it, but right now it seems like it is becoming more and more popular. The amount of new start up websites this year alone that are Halloween based is crazy.

 . I have however done some work that I believe is decent which I will post in the writing section eventually.
