Then again, most corporate offices only care about the mula. They don't really care about the customer's wants.
Perhaps we at Halloween.com should find a way to write to their corporate offices and demand more Halloween decorations for selection! :lol:
Unfortunately money is what makes the world go around and drives corporations to do what they do, they wouldnt even give to charity if it didnt earn them money, thats why they donate and blaze their logo all over the donation......it's sad, but it's the way the world works....

There is a small no-name Halloween shop in the strip mall down the street from me that has a 50% off sale today. I stopped in to buy some things because the store looked so empty of people and sad.
Now maybe more people will go on like Friday or Saturday, but I did ask the guy at the counter about how his business was doing, and he said it's been awful. The economy has hit really hard, and people just aren't buying.

it really is sad... where's our bail out?
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I have noticed much less at the local stores, but also I have noticed cheaper prices! I have picked up several new items this year because the cost is lower. I just bought a 5' witch at wal mart. She is so pretty. Her eyes light up and she says 4 diff things. I got her for 60 bucks! Things like that have been well over 100 in years past.
Our local stores seemed to hold on to decorations and not display them until last week! I really thought this year would be a bust, but I have been pleased.

If I were a Senator, I would have demanded that the Stimulus Bill include a provision that gave a $100 check to every American, with the stipulation that it had to be spent on Halloween decor or Halloween related products. Candy would also be acceptable.

I went to Target the other day. They usually have tons of stuff. They hardly had anything this year. Very disappointing.

Walgreens is another good place to go as they usually have an aisle dedicated to Halloween stuff and you can get good deals on cups, skulls, decor and candy there. I bought some yard decorations there as well...

Walmart was less than impressive and the Halloween stores seem to be the only places to find big things...also Party City.

I have to check out Target yet and the Super Walmart here had some decent things but not like Walgreens or the major Halloween stores like Spirit or Halloween Express. Party City has awesome stuff...
