I use to get into the Valentines Day thing when I was a kid. We use to bring little valentines cards to school, one for each class mate, and we each would get one from each class mate. The last year I took part in that was 4th grade. Vallentines Day took on a whole new perspective once I was 12 years old, the nature of that perspective will not be discussed on this family-friendly web site.

Now a days, I screen the "Charlie Brown" vallentiens day specials in February, because 9 times out of 10, on the actual day I will be working late, or some other situation will arise. Valentines Day is just not a big deal to me, so there really is not too much for me to do during Jan and Feb. Of course, there will be the realease of the new "The Wolfman," in Feb, and I do plan to have at least one Winter barbecue some time in Jan to break up the monotony, but beyond that, there really is not too much going on.

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

I still like the paper valentines that we got in school.
Then out for BBQ is good for me. It's the little things that matter most.

I always liked the rule that if you gave a valentine to one classmate, you had to give them to everyone. The hard part was picking who got which one. You never wanted your arch-enemy and your secret crush to get the same one....

Oh absolutely!!
I always gave the card I like the least to the bratty kid I didn't like. One with a pig on it or some other unattractive one. hehe
