Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

there was an interview on FOX of a black woman, when asked why she voted for Obama she said it because he was going to give her free money, the reporter asked her where Obama was going to get the money she said she didnt know, probably his "stash"........I found that funny, and typical of the reason why Obama was elected....

Ohjhhh no doubt...he is the 'messiah' according to some but the reality is he is sinking our ship faster and faster every day. All the spending he is doing and cow-towing to other nations is sickening.

Anyway, the truth will come out...someday they won't be able to cover these things up. I want people to forget he is black for a moment and remember where he is from. He was an Illinois Senator right? Look up his record and see who he was aligned with in Politics in Chicago...Chicago has one of THE most corrupt political systems this country has ever seen...now it is on a global scale cause we elected him. Red flags should have gone off the moment he put his bid in for presidency...Chicago Politics and Corruption are like Politicians in Washington and Prostitution/Escorts...they go hand in hand.

actually midnight, those of us who saw past him being black are the ones who saw everything you describe, those that only saw color and those that hated George Bush so much couldnt see all those things...

He is just exactly as white as he is black.

There is a tremendous amount of stereotype and innuendo above, without a single shred of fact or evidence implicating him in any wrong-doing. The admonition to go "look up his record" is an excellent suggestion.

Again, he is exactly as white as he is black. It strikes me that those who are most adamant that people "look past his race" are precisely the ones who focus on it the most. The implication that the only reason an intelligent, well-informed, well read individual would vote for Obama is because of one half of his genetic make-up is the epitome of a fact-devoid argument. Should anyone be interested in an actual fact-based reason for voting for Barack Obama, I would be delighted to continue this in a new politics-themed thread. For my part, I promise to be entirely civil. :)

Back on topic, Halloween would definitely be the start of the holiday season for me, especially this year as I had a great Halloweenmonth, but can't seem to get into the other Big Two holidays. So for me, this year, Halloween is the beginning and the end of the holidays...

Obama bought the election with promises of his socialistic "take from the rich and give to the poor". The less educated people figured he was going to just hand them money, they didnt know how or where he would get it, but they didnt care, many are also black and figured they needed a black president because it was "their" time. There were some who hated George Bush so much they would have voted for ANYONE as long as it wasnt a republican. Many voted for him simply because he was black, the fact that he could eloquently read a prompter (as long as it was working) just gave them a back up reason. And there were several "elites" in such places as Hollywood and New York where it was trendy to vote for Obama.........and lets not forget the liberal media such as NBC and MSNBC who got such a "thrill up their leg" when Obama spoke that they really carried Obama's flag high and were in the tank for him from the beginning.
And lets not forget the few that actually agreed with a lot of when he said and voted for him because they liked what he had to say, like he would end the war in Iraq, pull the troops out and bring them home, and so on..........
