We have a haunted house that opens the weekend of Sept 28th. By that time it is usually cold enough and feels like fall enough to really enjoy it. I would like to disagree with tomanderson. If haunted houses were all year round, what would you have to look forward to?

Well, I probably would do it year round if I could. But the haunted houses don't show up until Halloween time around here. I can wish for such a thing with relative certainty that the wish won't come true...

It's never too early to go to a haunted house! I think mid-September's good, because it gets people in the mood...after all, that's when people start to do their holiday shopping.
Not only that, the lines are a little better earlier...at least that's what I've read.

I would go as soon as I can. I can't wait for the Kansas City ones to open. I Love halloween so much so I do as much as I can when the time is near.
