No way! I come from a long line of master BSer's. I would make up my own explanations--they don't necessarily have to make sense

Oh wow Spooky, very scary! I've never seen anything but heard a lot of unexplained things.

dispite the words you left out I got it too, funny thing, I rarely drink, but this happened in the wee hours of the morning about a year after my dad died (I suspect the shadow I saw was my dad) but it didnt dawn on me at the time, just looked like someone kneeling down at my bedside in the dark...

My "visitations," if I've had them, don't take the form of anything I can see. I have heard sounds, and smelled odors (knocking on doors when no one was there, smelling cigarette smoke in the dead of night, when no one around me smokes, that sort of thing).

okay, since you brought it up.....

My dad passed away Oct 27th 2007....We took the kids out TOTing on the 31st of course but my heart wasnt in it, anyway, as we were walking I smelled something that smelled just as my dad did the day he died, and what I mean by that is that hospital, medicine, antiseptic on the gown, body odor old person smell. It made me pause for a sec and look around, it was the weirdest thing, it was as if I was standing next to dad when he was in the hospital ans we were out on the sidewalk in a slight breeze....weird huh?

That is weird.

My "cigarette odor" is also associated with my father, who was a heavy smoker and died of lung cancer when I was seven. I have smelled it twice in my life, once when I was 12, and another time about twelve or fifteen years ago. A longish story. Sometime maybe I'll tell it here.

I hear knocking in this house occasionally.

It sits a 1/3 of a mile off the road, in the middle of 25 acres, and you have to get through 2 electric, coded gates to get here.

When it's night, and no one else is home, it can be a bit unsettling.

Yeah; you're about 5 minutes younger than me, and aren't prone to thinking things through.

life is more interesting that way
