I was working up at UCSD yesterday. They're putting up a new building at the hospital.
Some guy told me a joke the other day...
A man dies and finds himself at the Gates of Heaven, which surprises him because he wasn't always a very nice man. When they let him in without even asking his name he's sure there's got to be some kind of mistake. As he's walking through St. Peter calls him back, he thinks "oh, oh!" St. Peter pulls him aside, asks him "didn't you live in San Diego?" The man says that indeed he did. St. Peter replies "well... you can go on through but I think you're going to be disappointed with the weather."

Great joke.

I haven't been out to SD in a number of years now, but was a great place to live (except the taxes and the cold Pacific

).

You got that brother! I paid $4.65 for gas... regular gas... yesterday while I was in La Jolla. Those people can afford it. Cheapest I've seen around town is $4.39.
As for the water, only time I generally go in is early September, when it's usually at it's warmest. Too many great whites spotted lately anyway. Guy got killed by one a couple years ago while swimming between La Jolla Cove and Scripps Pier.

I'd go in with a short wetsuit and surf board, but even then I'd be a bit chilly.
Ah yes, La Jolla Cove and Scripps...beautiful area.

It's been threatening to rail for the past few days, and we did get a few showers, but for the most part the weather has been uncharicteristicly beautiful. With it only being the first day of Spring, I've already commuted to work on my Harley 3 times. Two of those times were last week, when the calender still said Winter. The weather was letter perfect last Saturday for my St. Patrick's Party, and exactly as beautiful on the following Sunday. Now all I have to worry about is getting my rear tire replaced so I can keep the rubber on the road.

We set a record high in Nashville yesterday. I've forgotten if it were 84 or slightly higher--but it broke one that had been set in 1948.
Impossibly warm here this week, for the past several days, and for the foreseeable future. Spring is progressing apace.

It has been really warm down here in GA too. I believe it hit 86 the other day. I love the sunshine but unfortunately it also brings out the pollen. (Or broccoli, as my daughter calls it!) We have yellow dust on everything.

Last week I noticed all that yellow dust on my car and I thought to myself 'Ewwww! I'm so glad I don't suffer from allergies! Look at this mess!' Next morning I woke up with a sinus infection

nice in the 60s here today but raining. It was warm lately for late winter though. We are usually still snow and ice this time of year.

We had a lovely week of 80*F temps, then the rain blew in towards the end of the week. We had a couple chilly days and freezing nights-- with some snow on the mountains (I heard they had an avalanche warning in Flagstaff). Thankfully, the temps are back in the mid- 70's.... soon to be 80's again! =D

I heard that there are litteraly thousands of record highs recorded across the map, and many of them are as much as 30 to 40 degress above normal.
Sort of makes me wonder what July is going to be like.

Well I can already tell you with 100% certainty than July will be like HELL here in Texas. Usually is though, so yay! No surprises!
