Correction, that's only 62 days now, and thats until the actual Halloween. The Halloween Season begins on the 28th or 29th of September in my house, so for me, I'll be decked out for Halloween in about a month.

I've got to make a trip out to CA the first week of Oct. to see my 90-yr-old aunt (missed her birthday party earlier this month, so I need to go). Consequently I will get a little later start on my decorations, I think. I likely won't start until I return.

I have an aunt who's 93 years old, and she actualy won the Hula Hoop Tossing contest at her retirement home. I even have a photo of her seated on my Honda Valkyrie which I shot about a year before I traded it in for a Harley.

Bet she's got some stories to tell.
She heard her parents talk about the war to end all wars, then lived through the next one. She survived the Great Depression and watched as age old scourges, like polio were defeated. Radio, television, air travel, computers, Pauly Shore, ect, ect, become mainstream during her time. She lived to see mankind take their first steps out of the nest, and honor the first man to step on a non-terrestrial body as he is laid to rest.
Mike, go see her and listen to those stories. She's living history.

That's an awesome pic, Mike. I bet she's fascinating. I agree with Nevermore, absorb what history you can from her. My family only has one Aunt left from the previous generation and it's really interesting listening to her talk. She's in her late 80's. I feel bad for her though. At this point she's out lived all her sisters, their spouses, and her spouse. She lives with her son, but I still imagine it's very lonely being the last of a generation.

Went out yesterday and bought some drapes and stuff to decorate my girlfriend's apartment while she was at work. Only bought a few things, but she liked it when she got home. I wanna head to Hobby Lobby with her soon and see what they have. I was gonna go alone yesterday but when I told her what I was gonna do, she didn't want me to go without her. It's nice to finally know a girl that likes Halloween as much as I do.

Yep, it's September, and for me, the Halloween season is less then a month away. It's actualy less then 28 days away, as I plan to have the "spookies" up on the 28th.
I do often visit my Aunt, and she does have a lot of stories to tell, not only about her own life time, but she also has the stories told to her by her parents and grand parents about life in the 19th century.
