You need to use the new version of Winzip. They must be using a new compression scheme. Just choose Evaluate when you install it.adrian wrote:i'm having trouble with some files not decompressing once they're downloaded... any help?
That may be the problem. I'm quessing WinZip is using a new compression scheme. Says it's 100% compatible with other programs but that doesn't seem to be true in my case. It's unlikely, judging by the name, there's a version for the Mac. If your Mac's built-in program can't extract em try the latest version of Stuffit, or The Unarchiver. Maybe one of these can handle the files.adrian wrote:Thanks Nevermore.. i'll give it a try when i get home.. i'm running through a Mac, doesn't have anything to do with it does it?
What I've played so far I've really liked. I actually found a couple songs I've never heard before (the one by Elvis = cool!) that I'll definitely add to my mix. Now that I've got the rest extracted I'll listen to em. At least I will when I get less distractions.tantraman wrote:thats great nevermore let me know what you think of them

I've got a pretty good collection myself but most of them are still in print so I don't think I'd feel comfortable about making them available. But that doesn't keep me from telling you where I got them.
Have you ever gone on Usenet? Or newsgroups as they're also called. Check out alt.binaries.holiday and alt.binaries.halloween during the next couple months. They're like a clearing house of Hallowe'en related media. You can find just about anything there... carving patterns, music, tv shows, books, ect. Also check alt.binaries.sounds.mp3.sound-effects specifically for sound effect CDs. You can usually find stuff spread throughout many of the binary groups towards the end of October.
I just checked all three groups. Nothing yet. I've seen posts start as early as the middle of September in the past. There is a bunch of 'December holiday who's name I will not say' related material in absm.sound-effects.
It's not a website, it's an older part of the internet. One of the oldest. You need a separate program to access it. You could use Outlook Express but I strongly suggest a better program, like Free Agent. You also need to find out your internet provider's news server address.tantraman wrote:thanks for that is there a link for that? ILl check it out.
