I am from Tennessee. Knoxville. Where the necks are red, the blood runs Volunteer orange, and the meth labs are mobile! I have a fantastic family. All that is missing from my hubby's family, though, is the banjo player!!

Well, I don't think it really has anything to do with anything but I'm a northerner and I prefer the munsters myself.
Of course, I did grow up out in the boon docks. XP Funny thing is, I'm about the only person around my area that hates country and loves rock/metal.

I think it is a state of mind. I grew up in Central Florida and moved to TN as a teen. I love it here. I love the culture. I do not listen to country music, eat cornbread or date my cousins. It does happen here alot though. My dad builds fars (fires) puts tars (tires) on his truck, and loves to visit with kin foke (family). There is an innocence in the south. I think that is why I relate to the Munsters. Herman was so childlike. I love it! Grandpa was also sothern in his creative inventions. Anybody remember moonshine?

i watched the first season of the addams family yesterday i was in heaven.. i did that while working on a new sign of mine (pics soon!)

Oh, what a fun topic. I honestly can't choose. I preferred The Munsters as a child, but later realized The Adams Family was somewhat more sophisticated. Haven't watched either show in decades. You all remember details worlds better than I do.

Wasn't The Adams Family based on a series of New Yorker cartoons, maybe by Jules Pfeiffer or some such name? And I think he called them the "Adams" (or Addams?) family as a parody of the Massachusetts Adamses.

I'm originally from Mississippi, so make of that what you will. Hey, Shanda, I am a Tennessee transplant, too! But I live in Middle TN, near Nashville. We are Vandy fans, not UT.

ETA: Never mind. Just did a quick Google check, realized the cartoonist was Charles Addams, so I guess he named them for his own family! Must have been an interesting bunch!

i voted Adams because i liked thier sense of humor....that sly wit. thats how i feel when i see something horribly sick...(in a good way, lol). my friend came by today when i had out my decorations and was sorting through them, and her bratty teenager kept callling me crazy. now, why do you suppose people think were crazy? just cuz we like a little creepy fun once a year? well, ok, i leave some decorations up down in the basement all year...heehee. and the black light paint doesnt just come off ya know...lmao. i made a pretty cool looking window treatment out of a scene setter, (it looked like a basement window with a really evil looking zombie crashing in) and some black table cloths that look like curtains and i leave that up all year just cuz i LIKE IT!
