I'm not one for the torture/killer movies. I prefer monsters.

I like the slasher movies, but less blood. Definitely not big on the torture.
That seems to be the thing right now.
I love monsters.

I like the classic slashers like Jason and Micheal Myers. Those movies were down right comical sometimes, but these HILLS HAVE EYES remakes and the like are just sadistic.
give me PUMPKIN HEAD or ALIENS. I likes my monsters.

Looks like a little bit off-topic foreign films here that we're discussing here.... This is not American horror films! I mean, other countries! :)

OK....Did any one see CEMETERY MAN? It was a Franco-Italian-German production. Very moody and twisted in nice ways. Punch-Out ending, though.

It's surreal. I like that about it.

I have one for you. DRACULA: THE DARK PRINCE 2000 ARTISAN ENTERTAINMENT
PETER WELLER, ROGER DALTREY (As the king of Hungary no less)
It's a small budget movie ,but they pull off a good (and fairly accurate despite WIKI'S THRASHING OF IT) retelling of the life of Vlad Tepes. It's more of a historical piece than a vampire tale. I don't care about the haters. I liked it.

Alright..here we go. This would not be what I'd normally consider a horror film, but it is filled with atrocity. It is technically a U.S. film but the director, actors, locations are all international.
The Pillow Book is a 1996 film by United Kingdom director Peter Greenaway, which stars Vivian Wu as Nagiko, a Japanese model in search of pleasure and new cultural experience from various lovers. The film is a rich and artistic melding of dark modern drama with idealized Chinese and Japanese cultural themes and settings, and centers around body painting (several scenes of which include full-frontal nudity).

It co-stars Ewan McGregor as Jerome, an English translator who becomes Nagiko's favourite lover. Greenaway also wrote the screenplay, in addition to directing. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.[1]
All of this and people being skinned. You will feel dirty after.
