I bet that was a great show! I love REM too, and love Fall On Me.
I got to meet Michael! I was running the VIP beer tent at the concert venue here a few years ago. He came up for a beer, and I thought I would faint dead away.
He just started chatting with me and then really blew my hair back when he said, "I would love to paint you...you have so much life in your eyes." Then I had to hold on to the counter to keep from falling down!
hehehehe

Well, we'te talking pop music here, and I know the following list is way, way, WAY behing the times, but I don't care. These are the tunes that use to blare out of WLS and WCFL radio in Chicago back int he day, so here is my list. Of course, there are a few there that were a little later, but for the most part, this is pretty old school.

The Beatles
Chicago (the group, not the city)
Boston (The group, not the city)
Kansas (The group not the state)
Blood, Sweat & Teers
Peter, Paul and Mary
Bob Dylin
Edie Brikel & the New Bohemians
Pete Seager
Bob Seager
AC/DC
Cheap Trick
Simon & Garfunkle
The Byrds
Herman's Hermits
Jay & the Techniques
Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose
Henry Mancini (Hey, what can I say, my dad turned me on to this)
Benny Goodman
Glen Miller
Artie Shaw
Charles Barnet
Al Hirt
Nancy Sinatra
Frank Sinatra
The Irish Rovers
Nirvana
Deaf Leapard
Pat Benitar
The Cars (I have all of their albums)

And tha't just a very partial list of all the various music I have. I listen to music in all genres. Jazz, Rock & Roll, Swing era, Big Band, Classical, New Wave, Punk, New Age, World Music, Various types of Ethnic music. Sousa Marches, I can go on and on and on, but there isn't enough server space on this forum.

Interesting video. Those old 1950s vintage Sci Fi low-budgeters allways held a special place in my heart. My personal fav was "The Giant Gila Monster," because that movie had some really cool music and fabulous street rods in it.

I'm not a huge fan, but there are a couple of his tunes that I liked. I don't think I really am totaly "in to" one specific group. However, there are a few that come to mind that I would love to see in person. Simon & Garfunkle, Peter Paul and Mary, and Edie Brikel & the New Bohemians. If I could find them in concert colse to my home, I just might go to it. I doubt that you will see Simon & Garfunkle on stage again any time soon. Peter, Paul and Mary still do tours once in a while, but it seems Edie Brikel was a "one hit" wonder with her 1980's tune "What I Am."
