Was out and about last night and the first shelves of Halloween and fall decor was out at Dollar Tree and Big Lots. First sightings of the year for me! Also noteworthy that it is the local Corn Broil festival this weekend and the Packers are on tonight. Just had a pumpkin cappuccino. I'm already in the mood.

Have a great day.

I saw the first Halloween cookbook (Pillsbury) at Kroger yesterday. I will have to check my others to see if it's really new, or just a reprint of one I already have.

Checking back to say that I bought the new Pillsbury cookbook, which does have some repeated recipes from previous years. However, there is new material in it as well.

The Spirit Halloween store in my town opened up last Friday! First day it was open I found time to get in there. It's always a small tradition of mine to go in there a few times throughout the season. They are a tad expensive, but I always purchase a couple of small items just because I'm self conscious of the employees who always see me in there but never buy anything haha.

Got myself two packages of Halloween oreos, but I'll probably get more before Halloween gets here. XD

I forgot to mention that a number of ceramic jack-o-lanterns showed up a couple of days ago in front of our neighborhood Kroger store. I have also seen a couple of Halloween magazines on sale inside--the Pillsbury one I already mentioned, and the Better Homes & Gardens one. I haven't sprung for BH&G just yet. It is usually not as good as some others, but I enjoy the pictures anyway.

Our Walgreens have the Russell Stover Halloween pumpkin shaped filled candy on a high shelf ready to be moved into place when back to school stuff leaves the shelves.

I saw a sign on an empty shopping plaza lot alerting passeresby to the Halloween store coming soon. It isn't one of the chains either.
