A definite sign of Halloween... The local community is hosting several fall related activities including a Halloween inspired " Witches and Zombie 5K Run " to benefit the local youth theater group. This involves running along a set course of streets and wooded areas. Lurking behind hedges and fences will be Zombies and Witches who will try to grab you. Kind of a touch football kind of thing. Of course this goes on around dusk. It happens next week, I think. Does the heart good to see a Witch or two in the early Autum!

Hey guys! I haven't been posting since last year I think, but creepily lurking all along. lol Seeing all of this has really gotten me excited today. I went to Target yesterday and saw they had about half an isle of Halloween things out. It's pretty much just snacks and baking stuff but I snagged a box of gummy fangs and a few coffee stirrers flavored like pumpkin spice anyway! I also had a 6 pack of pumpkin beer I've been going through for the past week or so. I'm trying to lay off the sweets until october though cause I tend to go crazy by then with the pumpkin baking madness. :bounce:

Halloween themed and big enough to hold enough caffeine for a computer programmer!

Cute!

The other day I saw "monster water bottles" at Kroger. They had Halloween labels on them.

I actually saw two houses with Halloween stuff out today. Very glad to see it, but I am going to try and be strong. I told myself Sept. 26 all summer, so I'm going to try to stick to that.

Still very nice to see, though. That time of year when I see Halloween stuff up around town just puts me in a good mood.

Have a great day, everyone.

I'm thinking about starting this weekend (with the outdoor decor). Fall is officially here on Monday or Tuesday.

The house across the street already has some stuff up, including a big skull window filler. I think we may have to go to war.

a house in the neighborhood had the orange & purple lights and some assorted hanging witches etc. up as of this past Saturday. It was nice to see.
Also, on Saturday night had my first "liquid pumpkin pie" of the fall - pumpkin ale mixed with whipped cream flavored vodka :P

The Home Depot down the street is selling huge pumpkins, about 2 foot wide, for $20.

Hmmm... interesting. I have a bottle of Pinnacle Whipped Cream. Gonna have to try that.
