Well, with Hippieluvn off for a while, I thought I'd share that I've been watching Halloween movies up a storm. On Thurs, The Exorcism of Emily Rose
On Fri, The Conjuring
On Sat, The Haunting (1963) in the morning, Sleepy Hollow (1999) at night
Today, Season of the Witch this afternoon. My son has Big Trouble in Little China on right now.

Big Trouble is such s great movie!

I watched the new Haunted Mansion effort on Disney.

It's Citizen Kane compared to the Eddie Murphy from a while back.

You mean it's good, or it's too serious?

We enjoy the old Eddie Murphy one. We think it's amusing. I think when it first came out, it maybe suffered by comparison with Pirates of the Caribbean, which was also based on a theme park ride and had surprised everyone that summer, mainly because of Johnny Depp's brilliant and totally unexpected performance. Haunted Mansion wasn't that good, but it's fun if taken on its own terms.

The men in my family seem to like Big Trouble in Little China more than I do. Not sure why that is.

Late last night my husband put on Casper, which we all like.

The new Mansion is a better movie by far.

I watched The Exorcist this afternoon. I'm traveling to Ohio next week, so I'm trying to get all my must-sees in before that. My son has all the streaming services I lack, so I'm hoping to see some good stuff up there. Hocus Pocus is a favorite I usually save for closer to the day. We'll see what I do about it this weekend.

I've watched every movie that you mentioned Murf, and they are perfect for the season. I have been watching a lot of movies this month, some good, some not, I'll post more about them later when I have some time. We have already watched Hocus Pocus a few times this month because of the kids, and I get the feeling that they will probably watch it a few more times before the month is done.

I hope you have a safe trip Murf. :) By the way, while you're there you can check out the Frasier reboot on Paramount+ and let me know what you think of it. I won't spoil it for you, but I will say that I like it.

I saw the Frasier 2.0 teaser and will give it a shot.

The original is a pretty high benchmark.

My daughter and I have been terrified of the reboot, because we think the Frasier finale was absolute perfection. But I have read more favorable things about it than I anticipated, so I'll probably give it a peek.

I have told my daughter that if it's a disappointment, we can just pretend it never happened.

I have all of the Frasier Christmas episodes and watch them frequently.

'Merry Christmas Mrs. Moskowitz' 1998, is comedic perfection from start to finish, and was directed by Kelsey Grammer.

That is a classic episode. Man, has it really been 25 years?

When I heard that Frasier was coming back I felt the same way that everyone else did, as most of the shows and movies that they have brought back have been awful, with a few exceptions like the Karate Kid franchise, but I actually like the Frasier reboot.

My second favorite is the one where Niles inadvertently gets Martin high, and his actions throughout the day are a riot.
