Who can forget the old Johnson Smith Co. 45? As an adult it might seem cheesy but as a kid you just couldn't wait! You paid like $1.49 for it and shipping was only $0.75 or something....whatever the prices were but you just loved browsing the catalog and dreaming about turning the lights down low to play the record.

Tubular bells. I'm actually not a fan of the movie (i know it's a classic), but I love the theme.

I'm fairly young, and I used to watch goosebumps, and are you afraid of the dark all the time. I also read the goosebumps books, and whenever I hear those theme songs it reminds me Halloween and my childhood as well!

I'm a big fan of both Midnight Syndicate and Nox Arcana. Born of the Night is my go-to Halloween music. The first strains of the first track, Premonition, just get me right in the mood. But I've been kind of finding diminishing returns on their stuff. Particularly, Carnival Arcane didn't do much for me. I liked Nox Arcana's Carnival of Lost Souls better. Anybody run into this?

Ha! Ha! I was telling him I don't have a cassette player but I do, believe it or not, have and 8-track player. Serious! He says the cassette is mainly for collection/novelty purposes, the release will be on iTunes. BTW: the cassette comes with high quality digital files also.

Got it! It was only ₤8.54, with shipping. About $13. Turns out he's only selling 30 cassettes so it could be a rare collectable amongst Halloween enthusiasts. Besides the digital files it also comes with free pin-button-badges! Whatever that is.

Got the cassette in the mail today and downloaded the digital files. It's an excellent release. Sure to be the hit of any Halloween dance party.

Dr D. was a staple of my Halloweens for many years. He played so many songs you just couldn't find anywhere else.
