Not to worry Boogeyman, I knew you weren't advocating such a thing, and just WHY does DHS need so much ammo? I can't see any rationale myself, other than they plan on using it on us.
It's funny that you mention LAPD and NYPD Boogeyman, since those are two of the most restrictive cities in the country on how little personal freedom private citizens have, and yet they both continue to suffer from high rates of violent crime and police corruption. Common sense seems to be a disease in many large urban areas, and the powers that be continue to do nothing but pass more restrictive laws on the law abiding citizens. Because they simply don't trust the people that elected them. Ain't that a hoot?
Because our lovely national news media wouldn't know a fact and the truth, if it walked up and bit them on the butt; it's not surprising that many people don't know or remember that the violent beating of Rodney King that we all watched, was in fact LEGAL under LAPD rules and operating procedures. That is why the officers were acquitted the first time they were tried. It wasn't until the federal government got involved and tried them under FEDERAL law, that they were convicted.
It was only last week that a federal judge said that NYPDs stop and frisk laws were Unconstitutional. That moron mayor in New York has really shown his true colors as of late. He says he knows what is good for you and you must do as he says. You may recall he tried to outlaw large size soft drinks and that was overturned by a judge too.
The most important and valuable weapon a cop has is his MIND! He needs to think. When you take that most important weapon from his arsenal he just becomes another Nazi or Soviet Storm Trooper.
I'm really and truly scared that we are headed in that direction, more every day.
