I haven't been here in many weeks because so often when I stopped in, there was no one here. Also, I got a job, so my time is more limited. But I'd stop in more often if others would.

I'm loving it. I'm working as an adjunct English prof at the same high school where my husband teaches, but I'm working for the local community college. I have 72 students in three classes and teach composition from a master syllabus, so it's easy peasy. Part time work for me, but relatively well paid because of my previous college teaching experience (12 yrs). I have all seniors, so they will soon graduate. I'm going to miss them!

Well that's wonderful Murf!! You get off for the summers too, I'm so jealous! I loved working with kids, it's there parents that drove me nuts!!

Oh, I would miss it but I would so love being off for the summer!! I have two Vacation planned and can't wait!!

Not yet. I think my summer may be colored by what my kids are doing. My older son got a job at Ohio State and will be moving to Columbus in the late summer. Meanwhile, my daughter thinks she wants to be an actress and has been auditioning for stuff this summer, so she may be headed out as well.

hello all, its time for a once-a-year-check in (while I've been a faithful lurker for over a decade now, wow!) I was motivated to check in today due to our weather in STL - cloudy, chilly, occasional light rain; makes me think less of spring and more of fall. That must mean that its time for me to start scouring the online sales for new add-ons to use in 6 months

Murf your kids sounds like they are doing great. What kind of acting is your daughter going into, plays, movies or both? I always wanted to do the make up for the plays or movies, horror of course.
