Thanks to the Little Halloween last Friday, I'm starting to feel a tug.

There is a little, tiny, pioneer cemetery down the road from my brother's house and I took the time to stop by yesterday and say howdy.

I discovered that I was born exactly 140 years to the day after one of the occupants!

I'm definitely feeling the bug.

Feeling it a little as well. Looking forward to summer, but I can't help but think that Halloween is merely 5 months away. Not only that, but merchandise will start being seen in roughly 2 months.

Hey cool find Andy! One of the death days on those tombstones is July 23rd! Which ironically enough is my birthday. (granted I wasn't born in the 1800's :P But still)

My boyfriend shared this with me today: http://boredomtherapy.com/weird-skeleto ... 555Haunted which gave a bit of a Halloween feel.

But in all honesty I'm not feeling much of the bug yet. I'm still feeling more forward to Summer season than anything right now. Guess I just don't want to rush the year away.

Ships log, June 6th, 1816:

"Patience and perseverance have paid off, as the natives have accepted me as one of the tribe!

In fact, tonight I am to be honored at a feast designed around me!

Truly this will be a once in a lifetime occurrence!!"

Sometimes during the summer I catch myself day dreaming about my fall activities but I try to just enjoy the seasons as they happen. But once we hit the "100 days till" mark I start to get pretty jazzed.

I'm useless at 80 degrees and above.

Would that be negative 80 and above?

This is the time of year I start watching for 'Spirit Store coming soon' signs. The location down by the Sports Arena where one was last year is still empty so every time I drive by I crane my neck to look and almost wreck my truck. I love the end of summer, Halloween store hunting season.

Our weather has turned cool and overcast, so naturally I searched for Autumn pics and found this.

Only a few months to go!

I've been watching a few horror movies on DVD, but I am not trying to get into the mood just yet. I am trying to focus on summer, July 4th, and domestic projects I want to finish before the next holiday season. I am getting up early to swim laps 2-3 times a week. That feels like summer to me.
