Our outside lights were the same as usual, but we did less with the tree. We have a new cat, and I was afraid she'd climb it and break the ornaments, so I had my daughter put only unbreakable ones up. That means that easily half of what we own, maybe more, never made it to the tree. Still, the tree was/is pretty with the lights and all.
I have enjoyed the holiday, but I was saying to my husband last night that it seems the whole holiday season has zoomed by--Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and now New Year's. It just has all seemed so fast this year. I guess I've been staying super-busy.

Now Saks Fifth Avenue has the right idea! No more sorting through strings of lights and falling off ladders. Just project your holiday lights onto your house.
